Kids Yoga Rocks was created by Jaclyn Rock, a former elementary school teacher, and Yoga enthusiast. Due to her passion for yoga and love of children, she decided to pursue kids yoga. Her goal is to help each child reach their greatest potential. Throughout the years of working with children, it is clear to see how one can develop body awareness, manage stress (through breathing), build concentration, and most importantly feel confident and positive as individuals through yoga. Children will be able to develop these attributes through creative activities, stories, yoga poses, and games. Three distinct classes are offered Little Rockin’ Yogis (3-4 yrs), Young Rockin’ Yogis (5-7 yrs), Rockin’ Yogis (8-10 yrs)

Ages: 3 -10

PLAYDAY’s Kids Yoga is a class that aids children to grow in a supportive and non-competitive environment.Open to all levels, through the combination of yoga asanas, visualization, and meditation exercises children will develop physical strength, the ability to control and relax their minds whilst building inner confidence and outer awareness. Classes are structured but flexible, incorporating new techniques and exercises with each lesson.

Gramercy Park
Ages: 2-5

This 45-minute class is divided into three distinct sections – Breath Play, Breathing Techniques, and Meditation Techniques. Each technique is presented in a super simple, kid-friendly format. Children will learn effective and appealing ways to let off steam, handle pain control, focusing on a class or test, deep relaxation, and more. Consistency is Key- attend class regularly.

Columbus Circle
Ages: 6 -12

Yo-Dan-Nastics™ is a unique, daring, and fun blend of Yoga, Dance and Gymnastics and great training for the body, mind, and spirit. Kids become empowered individuals with strong minds, bodies, and spirits connected to the global community.

Founder Paul “Keoni” Chun’s middle name is a fitting one. In Hawaiian, the word means “a quality of movement that is gentle, steadfast, and soothing.”  and imbued its programs are these qualities. In high school and college, Paul was a competitive gymnast, in his early adult life, he danced professionally, and over the last 20 years, both as a practitioner and a professional teacher, yoga has been one of his major passions.

Let go of daily stresses! Mindful Movements instructor Keren Melamed is a Licensed Hatha Flow Yoga Teacher (RYT200) and is a Yoga for the special child Practitioner. Keren is a very sought out instructor in NYC.

Upper West Side
Ages: 5 to 15

Students will learn to find comfort in stillness. This class allows kids to learn to be proud to be themselves further enabling them to navigate modern life in the years to come. Practicing Yoga and learning how to meditate from an early age will give them the tools they will need to be successful in their adult lives. In this class we will teach young children to do asanas, movements, play yoga games and meditate.
